Welcome to the Philodendron Page. Philodendrons are a member of the araceae family, or plants commonly known as aroids. You may have seen a few mass-produced philodendron species at your local nursery, namely Philodendron Selloum and Xanadu, but there are many other varieties of philodendrons, with different leaf shapes and sizes, which you'll never find at your local nursery. Many species still remain to be discovered in the rainforests, forming the most genetically rich and diverse ecosystems on the planet.

If you are interested in philodendrons and aroids in general, please consider joining the International Aroid Society.
